Premier Care Industries, Inc. (PCI)—an industry leader in branded and private label wet wipes and hygiene products—was founded in 1997 by Ouri Neman in Winnipeg, Canada. The company built brands in the industry as a manufacturer of sanitary napkins selling to many leading North American retailers. In 2010, Neman and his son Matthew launched a new state-of-the-art wet wipes manufacturing operation at their EPA and FDA registered facility in Hauppauge, NY. This investment has positioned the company well to produce and market premium-store brand quality wet wipes for all classes of the retail trade as well as contract packaging opportunities. “The company expanded its capabilities by entering the wipes market because we felt confident that by adding wet wipes capabilities, we would be able to provide the marketplace the same expertise and innovation delivered as a manufacturer of feminine hygiene products and expand our customer base in the disposable goods market,” says Bill Lutz, vice president, sales and marketing. Premier Care’s wipes products encompass all categories of personal care, household, medical, pet care and automotive wipes to name a few. The company recently expanded its marketing position in the contract packaging channel with the recent acquisition of Joe Hemmer as director of contract packaging. “Joe brings a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise and will help PCI to better serve the needs of these customers, and grow our presence in this channel,” Lutz says. “I am very excited about the opportunity with Premier Care and have been impressed with the quality of their people, their modern ‘hands-free’ converting suites and approach to the business,” Hemmer says. Prior to 2010, PCI marketed its feminine maxi pads and liners under the brand names Bodyform and Sanitex in the North American markets where it served several major retailers. In 2003, the company introduced Flush-a-Way—the first flushable, biodegradable panty liners and sanitary napkins. This proprietary technology offered an alternative for national retail chains interested in promoting earth-friendly products. PCI expanded efforts in 2005 and relocated its manufacturing and distribution center to Asia. This significantly enhanced the company’s global platform, allowing it to provide clients with competitive technologies and costs. With advanced improvements in feminine hygiene products and plans to expand its offerings, PCI relocated its headquarters Hauppauge, NY, in 2006 to increase U.S. marketing efforts. This move also allowed the company to expand its product offerings to include baby diapers and wipes, adult incontinence products and hand sanitizers. “In 2012, with the continued expansion of its advanced capabilities, Premier Care continues to be committed to setting the highest standards in quality manufacturing throughout the wet wipes industry,” says Lutz. “This, along with superior service and unmatched value, allows us to manufacture some of the world’s most recognizable brands.” Premier Care’s evolution over the last two decades from manufacturing absorbent products such as sanitary napkins to converting wet wipes proves that the company is committed to changing with the times, he adds. “We always keep an eye on the future,” Hemmer notes. “We will invest in new equipment where necessary to meet the ever increasing requirements of the market and do what makes sense to better serve the needs of our customers.” \ 100 Oser Avenue Hauppauge, NY 11788 631-667-1055 [email protected] www.precare.com
